Wrangler Unlimited Beats the 4Runner on CarDomain

I see people still defending their precious 4runner cause the’re pissed that more people apparently like the Jeep. Yes, Jeeps require more maintence than a Toyota, but when is the last time you saw a 4Runner sucessfully navigate the Rubicon? Jeeps are there all the time. Why, because that’s what they’re built to do. Maybe Jeeps require more repairs because they get used more aggressivley. Anyone ever think of that? Yes, Japanese vehicles can be just as good off road as any Jeep, I have a 1989 Isuzu that I’ve beat the piss out of on the trails, and it’s never broke yet, and the old 4Runners are awesome, very capable, and very durable trucks, but the newer ones like the one in this particular contest wouldn’t survive the kinds of terrain that most Jeeps seee on a regular basis. Basically I think everyone needs to quit hatin on each other cause they don’t like the other truck. If I had a business meeting, or just for comfortable driving around town or on a long trip, I’d take the 4Runner any day of the week, but if I was gonna hit a trail, I wouldn’t even consider the Toyota, give me the keys to the Wrangler… but make mine a 2 door. Who the hell decided the Wrangler needed an extra long wheelbase? The 4 door is just plain wrong. Just my 2 cents worth. Agree or not, I don’t really care.

The title is right, the Wrangler won on Cardomain. In real life? 4runner owns Wrangler.

ya know.. I just followed a 4dr wrangler last night in the pouring rain on a rutted highway mph. I had a hunch the 4 door fixed something that has allowed me to despise all the years of them. It is a nice one. I wonder if the wind still flops the 4runner off the “manly” winter highway…Go jeep go. I gotta like something american again someday…

Hahaha just because the jeep won some little contest on cardomain does not make it the better vehicle. We all know Toyota owns Jeep, that ain’t even a contest.
