Best of SEMA: Exotics

By John Coyle

Editor

The SEMA show really isn’t about exotics. Most of the supercars on display are pretty much stock, so your favorite is probably going to be decided either by paint scheme, whether you like the wheels, or brand preference. At least that’s how I made my decision. Anyway, here are the choices: a Lamborghini Reventon, the Bulletproof Automotive GTR, a Spyker C8 Laviolette, the electric Green Gallardo from the Giovanna Wheels Booth, and a battleship gray Ferrari 430 Scuderia. So have at it! Which is your favorite?

I love the Nissan GT-R so much. That Midnight Purple works just as well on the new R35 as it did on the R33 Skyline in the mid-late ’90s.
And yes it IS a supercar. A Japanese exotic, if you will.

Take off some of the sponsors, we need more purple!

GTR’s my favorite considering the recent release of the car, complete color change, and the limited aftermarket parts available. Is very difficult to do a project like this in souch a deadline, for a so piviledged event, and build it all with overseas parts, and some of them installed for the first time ever.

My props for the Bulletproof family!!!

The GT-R is not an exotic by any means!

I’m all about that Ferrari. Those lines with that color paint and those wheels? It might not be the flashiest of all those cars, but it’s got looks that don’t say “I’m a serious d-bag” or “I’m trying WAY too hard” like some of the others do.

The GTR does not belong in a group of supercars. A more fitting replacement: any one of several Factory Five GTMs at SEMA.

Any way to turn off the horrible slide show and/or it’s weird transition effects? Or do I have to adblock slide.com ?
