Grassroots Motorsports

Sadly, it’s not a full-size one. It’s a Carrera slot car replica of the machine once driven by Patrick Long, the only American on Porsche’s factory driver roster. Patrick just wrote a story that will run in our next issue of Grassroots Motorsports, so when I saw this last night at our local slot car emporium I couldn’t say no.

Collecting is a slippery slope!! Kind of like adding mods to your car. I started collecting Porsche die-cast models and other memorabilia and now I can’t stop.

I’ve been seriously considering a slot car track… I’m just afraid it will end up setting in a corner of my shop collecting dust. Kinda like everytime I get into RC….

How much did it cost?
i have around 200 model cars that ive built. theire plastic
i have 3 metal ones though.
