Amoco Ultimate November Winner!

The November prize goes entry # 1769. Did you even know that Sears sold cars?

My car is a 1952 Sears Allstate. That’s right. A Sears & Roebuck car. About 2,300 of these were sold at Sears over a 14 month period so it is very rare today. At last count, there are about 25 of them left on the road today. Mine has been updated with modern equipment. New automatic transmission, front end, wiring, A/C, steering and, of course, the engine. I use Amoco gas in this baby. If you are going to update all your other equipment to 21st century technology, you have to use the most advanced gasoline on the market too. Amoco and Sears — Two Great American Companies.

Enjoy your $1,000 in free gas, Dave!

There are still more chances to win, so if you haven’t already thrown your hat into the ring, make sure to enter the Amoco Ultimate Your Car Is Worth It Photo Contest!

IH,

That’s not accurate because there was quite a lot different in fact. The Allstate was essentially a Henry J, but with a number of unique differences including Allstate badges on the hood and rear deck, a more upscale interior of Saran plaid or occasionally leather or smooth vinyl, special hubcaps/wheel covers, horn buttons and instrument bezels, a locking glove box and trunk lid, special engine color (blue), custom armrests and sunvisors, revised door locks and keys, special parking and taillamp assemblies and, most notably, a unique two-bar grille and jet-plane hood ornament design styled by Alex Tremulis, who had come to Kaiser-Frazer from the Tucker Corporation.
