To smallblockman69: The “small Chevy’s” also known as the Aveo are NOT the same as Suzuki Areo. They don’t use the same chassis, engine, transmission, or anything else for that matter. The only similarity between them is their size. The Aveo is the Daewoo Kalos built in Korea, rebadged and shipped here. The Suzuki Forenza on the other hand is also built by GM-Daewoo in Korea, and does share a few components with the Aveo. I’m not saying that being built by Daewoo is any better than what you said, but get your info right.

It’s not so much that the new GM products are that poorly built, as it is they are just “Butt Ugly!”
For instance: at least the Lincoln Town car is a slightly different looking product than the Ford Crown Victoria. I was following a new Cadillac SVC (or what ever they call it) today. and I thought to myself….”God! it look’s like a ‘Blinged out’ 10 year old Monty Carlo. (sp?).
The Hummer is ugly, the Tahoo is ugly and even the small chevy’s look like Suzuki Aeros.
At least the Ford Focus looks a little different than the Mazada’s they buy their power plants from….
and actually gets slightly better gas millage than their Mazada counter parts.
General Motors has been building some boring shit for years, and now it’s finally starting to catch up with them.
What annoys the hell out of me is, Restored Trans Ams from the mid 1970′s are worth 4 times what my
1973 280SE 4.5 Mercedes Benze……And I know I can match that 4 door tank up agianst half of those “cracker boxes” GM built back then.
What am I talking about!?!?! I already have. (Plus 3/4 of the new cars on the road).
Most American cars built in the last 50years were built to run the 1/4 mile and then take a shit!!!!

I’d be all for a big three bailout if they still built cars and trucks as they did back in those days. Now all they’re interested in is shipping our jobs overseas and forcing chinese made crap down our throats.

In 1966 I dated a guy that had a 1959 green two door chevy. He put lights behind the front tires. These pictures sure bring back memories of those “good ole days”. Karen
