'64 Corvette Barn Find!

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Check out this awesome Vette barn find. Looks like it ended up in the hands of a dealer, but it’s still very cool and unmolested—barn dirt included in the $32k asking price! More pics after the jump, or see the listing at Valley Auto.

…and to the others as “staged” or thecomment, dirty car clean wheels ha ha ,If you notice in the barn there are no tracks into it,and the wheel covers are not on it…..go to trailer page…see the cardboard stuck to tire…was originally in fron of car…..go to picture in front of garage…notice the other vettes….Im sure the wheel covers came from inside the shop and put on to get a overall original view of the car and for inspiration. NUTTIN like a old vette, some of these riceburners should ride in a old muscle car…get the feel of some real carburated, tire smokin (with out NOS)head to theback rest, tire pullin V8 american muscle…thats a real car.

NICE…..and yes ,price is no matter if it’s what YOU want. Something like this is rare indeed, unmolested original,I agree with others ,clean it up and show it like it is.

HELLO,
I AM THE NEW PROUD OWNER OF THIS VETTE. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL. DOWN TO THE PAINT. AND SHE IS ALL THERE, INSTEAD OF BEING A BASKET CASE. HAVE NOT TOUCHED ANYTHING YET, JUST STARTED COLLECTING NOS PARTS. AND BY THE WAY, TO SOME OF YOU GUYS, IT IS NOT THE PRICE OF THE CAR, BUT THE PASSION.

Funny that your trying to compare a Hearse to a old numbers matching vette.. This car should end up in a museum…

I heard a while back that there was an estate sale after this elderly couple passed away in germany and they just auctioned off everything as is but they couldn’t get into the barn and when the guy who bought the place for some measley amount had the doors broken down there were millions of dollars worth of vintage ferraris, aston martins, porches, bmws, and rolls royces. Now I’d like to find that barn.

He probably placed the Corvette in a barn to make it look good. IT was probably sitting in his driveway for years.

That’s a very nice barn find…but WAY TOO MUCH asking price for one in such condition. The seller must be dreaming and must be kept in a barn too.

Not what you would normally find in a barn…this is an amazing find.

Dec 22, 2008 at 6:32 am

I get mixed emotions when I see such finds. On the one hand it’s great that the car has been isolated and isn’t in Ms. Belvedere kinda condition, on the other hand… who the hell puts such a car in a barn and forgets about it???

There is a 67 down the road from me that has been sitting in a barn for as long as I can remember, $32k asking price for this one? Maybe I need to check into that 67!
