By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Just check out the comments over at Chrysler’s blog. I don’t know, doesn’t seem like such a huge deal to me. What do you think?

Well I’m not siding with Chrysler but come on I didn’t see a Thank You from GM. Anyway most of these people probably have only heard what the media had said. Like I’ve repeated a thousand times before, it’s OK to give hundreds of times more money to these mismanaged banks who’s executives still get there 200,000 bonuses, but it’s just a big crime for a car company, whose car is probably sitting in most of these peoples drive ways, to get a small portion of this to keep a float.

I didn’t bother to see what those who are pissed for whatever stupid reasons they have.
-
It’s an appropriate message and if they have trouble with what it says they can pound freaking sand out their asses.
-
I’m not even a chrysler enthusiast yet I find this “controversy” abrasive.

Improve fuel economy?!? Have these people been watching thier own ads? Chrysler is the car company devoted to producing tire scorching gas guzzling behemoths that hot rod junkies like me drool over. I think Chrysler and the first thing that comes to mind is “Does that thing got a Hemi?” Chrysler just spent an entire decade reconnecting with rednecks, and now they want to portray themselves as producing cars directed solely at cheerleaders and soccer moms? Yeah they were the first with the minivan, but they always pushed the trucks harder in the ads. And they haven’t had a decent four or six banger since they axed the Neon. The SRT-4 was fuel efficient and fun. I’d say bring it back!!! Then advertise…

I’ve gotta agree with most of the comments, investments should have the possibility of bringing returns, they should also be made by willing participants…..More of a unwilling donation if you ask me!
I do not want to see the Big Three fail, but what will it take for these automakers to see the writing on the wall?
Is the inevitable just being prolonged?

I agree with the majority of the comments on Chrysler’s page. I had absolutely no choice in the matter, and thanking someone right after you rob them is about as pretentious as you can be.
There is an amusing comment at the bottom of the page by “The KarFanatik”: “After 9-11 I swore to never purchase another import vehicle but guess what – you just shipped my a$$ right back across the world to support the very people who plan to take us off the face of planet earth.”
I wasn’t aware that Germany and Japan were still trying to wipe America off the face of the earth. Or that Al Qaeda had gotten into the car business. I must have been living under a rock to miss that!

Its annoying because most of the commitments they strives for they failed them all misreably.
