Nike Air Max Light GT3 RS Sneaker, Again
By 993C4S

Last week Jalopnik posted a story about Nike and Purchaze (a Dutch clothing and sneaker designer) teaming up to create the Nike Air Max Light GT3 RS Sneaker. Maybe it was a light news day being New Year’s Eve and all, because the story is a bit old. Perhaps one of the ugliest items (remember I like the Panamera) ever penned by the boys from Butzi’s storied design house (assuming they are officially licensed), the sneakers are thankfully limited to a total production of four pairs. That should at least spare us from seeing Dr. McDreamy (aka Patrick Dempsey) romping around in a pair as he heads out to fill up in his Porsche GT3 RS.

Hmmm. Maybe it’s already too late?

Seriously, back to the topic at hand. This story first appeared back in January of 2008. Shortly thereafter it was picked up by yours truly and way too many other sites around the internet (it must have been a slow news day back then too).
That should have been the end of it, right? Not so. With Jalopnik’s repost, it quickly started the rounds again. Autoblog jumped on board just a few hours later and from that point on we were viral once again. Perhaps my favorite example of a blatant repost comes from Junkie G at kicksaholic.com, where the first link under “related articles” is the original story that started the whole thing.
What’s my point? Actually, just ranting and curious why no one checks to see if a story is even a story in the first place? Hell, I’m only perpetuating it with this post!

I’d rather have my feet turn green from gout than wear those.
