TRD NASCAR Motor with Extra Edelbrock

By Katherine Helmetag

Atomicalex

I was checking out the Toyota booth and spotted one of their NASCAR bodies off in the corner. I started walking over to it and got sidetracked by the Edelbrock intake runners on the TRD engine display next to it. That wasn’t the only traditional American V8 tuner part on it, though. Crane cams, a Holley carb, and a Wilson Manifolds carb spacer. I know a lot of stuff is spec’d in by NASCAR, but you’d think the brains at TRD could figure out how to cast hi-po intake runners or at least a carb spacer! Closeups of the motor and car after the jump.

Does the carb spacer help to dissipate heat?

the aftermarket, a beign as it may seem, is no fool; if one looked closer at most of our big aftermarket suppliers, you’d seen intakes fro mitsu’s annd hondas and such for years; no surprise here, good marketing and even better business sense
