Sweet Turbocharged Caprice For Sale

We’re a bit put off by the $10,000 price tag, but man, we’re loving the hell out of this car. Talk about a sleeper: it’s a stock looking ’82 Chevy Caprice coupe with a swapped-in LT1 and a single turbo. The dude selling it claims that the car goes 12.20s @ 107 mph on only 7 pounds of boost. He made those runs at E-Town and has the timeslips to prove it.

We’ve always had the thought in our head that these cars could be wicked with the right motor combo under the hood and this one seems to have it. With the right amount of sweet talking and the requisite amount of information withholding, including welding up the hood so no one could peek in, you’d have yourself a money maker.

Once we blew up the LT1, we’d swap in a 468 and hang a pair of turbos on it and set our minds to running some real ETs, but until then this thing would be a comfy commuter, it would knock down decent mileage, and it would embarrass large percentages of the stuff at grudge night. Hit the link and try to wheedle this guy down!

@Matt…I agree with you but I think it would be an even better sleeper if it was a wagon with peeling vinyl woodgrain on the sides.

A true sleeper would be a rust brown 4-door version with saggy (looking) rear suspension.

But, Impressive numbers to say the least!

as a old boss of mine would say, put some cop car small chrome caps on the rims, and it would be so perfect as a sleeper
