Enzo MR2

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Over the years we’ve had to delete a lot of exotic car ride pages from our site—pages built by people who obviously did not own the car shown in the photos. When Edison’s car flashed across the homepage we thought we had yet another hopeless dreamer/poseur on our hands. But when we clicked through to the ride page we got quite a shock!

Most people in the AMC hobby at least know who Larry Daum is; he’s done a lot for the AMC hobby, and some random thief repaid him by stealing his newly restored 1969 AMX. Continue reading at Hemmings

JTP'S FC3S RX7 Is Mean in Green!

Car Culture At Large

If you follow the Southern California drift scene at all, then it’s likely that you know the name Justin Pawlak, aka JTP. Our boy Justin has been making waves in the media recently, as one of the most popular new drivers in the Formula D series; even ending the season strong with a podium finish at Irwindale this year. Before Justin ever became popular in the Formula D circuit, he was popular in the Just Drift/All Star Bash world and a member of the Dori Dori Club from Cerritos, California. The Soul of a Car

By Steve Neill

Steve Neill

In a time when it seems like rare hand-built cars are hard to find, we all look for a certain joi de vive in our own rides, and I think that is mainly why we post them here on CarDomain.

Within each and every one of us is the very definition of what it is to be taken by something, to love something to the extent to which we live our lives by it, and to forever cherish something that some other people do not see the point of even noticing. Inside every one of us is the love for cars, and you can’t tell me that isn’t true, because it is you who is reading this, right here…. right now.

As I was walking to school the other day (I had decided to walk, and live through the horribly cold Ontario air), I took notice of every parked car I could see. Some were cars I didn’t like, and some were cars that I did. Others I thought looked too gaudy, or too cheap, and some even made me turn my head. And as much as I’d like to believe that it’s mainly the look of these cars that do it for me, I got to thinking that it wasn’t the look, so much as the drivers intention with the vehicle in question.

More Pics of the Stainless Steel Car

By Craig McAlpine

imotormag

I saw the story Ron Honig put up the other day about the Allegheny stainless steel car and it jogged my memory to some images my old man sent me quite a while back. These are pictures of the actual car as it is now in the factory and it looks awesome. Apparently the cars were loaned out to the salesman who had made the most sales that year and when it was retired it had over 200,000 miles on the clock! The car is insured for $1.5 million dollars in case you were wanting one…

Site Outage Tonight!

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Starting at Midnight (Pacific time) we’re doing an engine swap on the site. The Blog will stay up and running, but the rest of CarDomain will be out of commission for a few hours. And for a few hours after the site comes back up, it will probably be a tad sluggish. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Chopped Duster on eBay

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Apparently Chrysler gave this car to sponsored drag racer Bill Stiles in 1971 as a parts car, and it got chopped up and painted like you see here shortly thereafter. It’s been owned by Mopar man/racer John Baughmans for many years, and has been in the car corral at Carlisle. Anyway, I love it. More pics after the jump. Via eBay
