Mustang Beats the Genesis Coupe on CarDomain

This week’s Showroom Showdown ended up being a bit closer than I expected, so props to Hyundai. Still, the Mustang posted a solid win, with about 25% more votes than the Genesis Coupe. But I’m sure this battle will heat up on the streets later this year.

Hey nascarsucks, what aging platform are you talking about? Thats an entirely new Unibody structure as of 05. Thats not that old considering the Fox body frame was used from 79-04. You are a tool for thinking the Hyundai should have won. The new Mustang handles quite well (have you driven one?). Higher output? The 2010 Stang has 315HP man the Genisis only puts out 306Hp (Can you figure out which is the higher number?). The biggest this is the Mustang will still outsell the Genisis because no one wants to buy a POS Hyundai. Who’s voicing their opinion on something they clearly know nothng about now?

i didn’t realize so many rednecks had internet access… “There was no way a Hyundai could beat the Mustang, God Bless America!”, are you fucking kidding me?

How can a car based on an older, aging platform, with only cosmetic changes, that can only go in a straight line beat a car built on a brand new platform, with a higher specific output engine, and fully independent suspension? it truly boggles my mind that people so freely voice their opinions on something they clearly know very little about.

I’d still rather have the Hyundai. Ford just didn’t up the ante when it comes to the design, all they did was give the old model a face lift and a few tweaks in the rear.

Mustang for the win! As nice as the Genesis is, you just can’t mess with a classic!

Oh and Andrew the 2010 Mustang is not on the road either so this is a fair competition based on the specs.

genesis couple isn’t even on the road yet…… I dont think you should keep doing match – ups with cars that aren’t even on the road yet… not accurate whatsoever
