Winternationals To Finish Today
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
The NHRA season opener was supposed to last just four days, but heavy rain through the weekend caused it to extend into this week. However, the sun is shinning in Pomona right now, so it should finish today. You can get live updates over at NHRA.com. Photo of Robert Hight’s car from Paddocktalk.com.

S’noproblem with a Model A

Okay, winter: You’re dragging on a little too long. Let’s hurry this up so we can start wearing short sleeves and driving around with the windows rolled down. Of course, if I had a little snowplow like the one in these pictures we just received, maybe I wouldn’t mind winter sticking around for another month or two. Continue reading at Hemmings

The Lohnes Wreck Files: Bruce Allen and Kenny Koretsky at Ennis, Texas, 2005
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
This was the worst racing accident I have ever seen, bar none, end of story. No one said it in the press room where I was sitting but everyone thought Bruce Allen was dead. The tricky, all-concrete track at the Texas Motorplex, with its extremely hard-biting groove and ice-like outer edges had just sent Bruce Allen and Kenny Koretsky to the hospital, and many of us believed worse than that.
It was a hot Saturday night in Ennis, Texas, and the final qualifying session for Pro Stock was underway. I had called to chat with my dad to give him an early update on where guys were qualified before he’d see it on television when I noticed Bruce Allen was back a couple of pairs. Unlimited Works EVO V
By Speedhunters
Car Culture At Large
The Unlimited Works EVO V was spotted in the weekend on Tsukuba during one of the many Time Attack battles. This thing oozes style in every department, the wheel fitment, the body kit and it’s white interior are a testament to this. It is capable of 57 second laps around Tsukuba, so it doesn’t only look good, it can also back up those looks with pure performance.

370Ztune.com x Jon Sibal
By Ben Schaffer
The Real JDM
One of my favorite talented friends, Jon Sibal, threw in a helping hand to help us launch 370Ztune.com. It’s always a beautiful thing when Jon Sibal sets his mind to creating another masterpiece. I’m proud to have this one dedicated to 370Ztune.com! For all of you JDM purists, please help spread the word about this new venture. We want 370Ztune.com to be a great success, and it is important that all of our friends help us spread the word. 370Ztune.com is already the biggest 370Z superstore / resource for tuning parts and it is growing rapidly! Check it out if you have not already!

What Are Your Top 5 Semi-Realistic Dream Cars?
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I’m not talking about Lambos and Veyrons. I’m talking about cars you are actually planning (scheming?) to acquire in the vaguely foreseeable future—let’s say in the next six months to ten years. But let’s leave daily drivers out of this. Also, you don’t have to own all of them at the same time (though of course that would be nice). But if you’re like me, it’s probably gonna be tough to limit yourself to just one or two. Limiting yourself to five is work enough. So anyway, here’s my list.
1. 1968 or 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Ideally I’d want a post car with a black bench seat interior (a 4 speed would be cool, too, but pricier and harder to find). I prefer the ’68 cause it’s my birth year, but ’69s are a bit more plentiful and just as cool. Obviously I’m talking 383 cars cause the 440-6 cars and Hemi cars are WAY out of my league. Doesn’t mean I couldn’t get a crate Hemi or build a A12 clone later, though…
See my next four picks after the jump!

Brian bought this beautiful Dodge D-series sight unseen at auction and is using it for his business. Pretty sweet ride!

Vanity Plate
Atomicalex
I spotted this week’s edition in the parking lot at work. I’m not an expert on Contours, but anything with an SVT badge is usually packing some respectable factory performance bits. Has this one been relegated to winter beater duty? I hope not, especially with that plate! Do you have a vanity plate, or have you seen one that I should blog? Send me a pic and details!
