Ok, so the Buy It Now price of $20,000 is absurd, and the auction ended last week with no takers, but I thought you guys would still want to check it out. Via Jalopnik

CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot: the 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst
By Jim Brennan
UDMan
Welcome to the CarDomain Obscure Muscle Car Parking Lot, a regular feature which aims to expand the notion of what a muscle car is, and have some fun in the process. It wasn’t the Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang or Chevy 409 that began the performance car wars, it was arguably, the Chrysler 300. Making its debut in 1955, the 300 was so-named because of its 300hp Hemi V-8. The 300 Letter Series, as they would be known as, were produced as llimited edition, factory hot rods, through 1965, when the last 300 “L” was produced. After an absence of four years, a full-size Chrysler muscle car made an appearance once again in 1970. Introducing the Chrysler 300 “H” Hurst edition.

That’s right, we finally integrated the login. Took long enough, huh? We figure we’ll get fewer comments at first, but hopefully less random stupidity and hate. If you’re a member and are having trouble leaving a comment now, drop me a PM. And if you’re not a CarDomain member, sign up! It’s easy!

So, You Want To Build a Donk…

Then you should definitely check out Terrence’s ride page. He’s got some wicked photodocumentation of his ’77 Cutlass hi-riser build, showing the ride’s transformation from super-clean stock to candy-coated skyscraper. And unlike a lot of cars in the genre, the Cutlass isn’t all show, no go: Terrence swapped in a 454 big block in place of the Buick 231 that the Olds came with. That should put some power to the DUBs! See for yourself.

It’s only five hours from here, but I could probably send my buddy Scott to investigate. It sounds like this is one of those “it’s not for sale” kind of deals, though. Sad… Google Street View via Jalopnik
Update: turns out that Scott has seen it already and got the “gonna fix it up someday” response, followed by a “Barrett Jackson says it’s worth xxx” type statement.

What's Next: Cars Made Out of Seaweed
By Rob Einaudi

The Toyota 1/X concept unveiled last year has a super light weight body made out of carbon fiber. But now Toyota is positing that they could replace the carbon-fiber body with plastic derived from seaweed. Don’t believe me? Read the full article at Wired.
