Bathtub Car is not Dead, Should Be

We spotted the infamous Bathtub car of Bob Reisner this summer and it’s looking like, well, that would be too easy.

We don’t get the show rod scene and frankly we’re happy that it’s basically over and done with aside from the occasional barf inducing mess that pops up.

This car has obviously been mothballed for some time and the years have not been kind to it. We don’t know if it is being restored, sold, or parted out, but we do know that the big Hemi with the twin blowers on top of it does not deserve this fate. See the rest of the pics at BangShift.com

Well, I guess I am the odd man out in saying that is freakin’ cool. surely not usable, but who cares. Also, I love the driver’s position being the terlit on the front rather than one of the bath tubs. I can dig it.

I’d yank the goddam bathroom fixtures and either find or fabricate a real body for the chassis. Mechanically it has the makings for one hell of a car. Time to bring justice that ride.

Ummm Is it just me or does this thing just look like a trailer queen? There is no wear on the discs and there is no way that Fan belt would support those two blowers, look how much slack is in the belt.

I’m thinking this thing has never run before!!!
