Buh Bye Team Ferrari

By Mike Musto

Oh the drama of Bullrun…

I think it’s safe to say that everyone hates Team Evo, the VW guys especially. Like any good reality show there must be drama which episode 3 delivered big time. I don’t want to waste too much time on the Evo guys except to say that I think they are out next episode. In next week’s preview it shows Team Evo bouncing through a fence, then bouncing over dirt, then bouncing one more time making the front end of that thing disintegrate. My opinion is it’s game over for those two. This, however, presents a problem. I mean who is everyone going to hate now?

But I digress. Many things happened in last nights episode, one of which was the birth of Team Camaro. I say birth because this is the first time they’ve actually spoken, and it was good to hear from them. Bravo gents. I also learned that the Shelby Boys are running a fuel cell in that Mustang. Did anyone else catch that? I mean these are things I would’ve liked to have known from the get go just so I knew how level the playing field was.

Buh Bye.

The format is still bugging me. I’m feeling like I don’t need to turn the show on until it’s halfway over as the challenges seem to take place about 30 minutes in. The beginning 30 minutes is becoming predictable with people just looking for gas and/or trying to figure out the best route to their destination. I didn’t realize it until now but the time bonuses in Season 1 really broke up that monotony of just heading from point A to point B. It may be something to bring back during Season III.

Episode 3 also began to showcase Team Avalanche, who, unbeknown to be me, seem as though they can actually drive. BearĀ and Matt kicked ass in the challenge and I have a feeling that Bear may turn out to be one of the best drivers on this show. The challenge itself was simply boring with no real excitement to speak of unless you call Team Evo hitting everything exciting. One thing the challenge did show, however, was how well the teams worked with each other, which is the most important aspect of this show. Marcus and Yelana worked ok together and I think that the only thing that really held Marcus back in the challenge was the fear that he might damage that Ferrari. That fear though caused them to be slow as sh*t and ultimately got them booted off the show.

Team Evo doesn’t work well together at all. One yells and the other just runs into things. Not a good combo. Another little nitpick I had with that challenge was that I honestly don’t think Team Ferrari should’ve been booted from the show. Yes they were slow in the challenge, but so was Evo and Evo hit EVERYTHING. Seriously, they were terrible. I have a feeling the decision to boot Team Ferrari was a production decision as Team Evo just makes for better TV. Could I be wrong? Yes, but I doubt it.

Oh yea… the girls won again. Way to go Ladies!

I still think it’s BS that the Corvette and the Camaro get pulled over because the cops are looking for a speeding gray car and the Evo guys pull in first, hardly a coincidence.

Yeah, I hope team Evo GTFO this week… I was glad to see the ferarri go too, that russian woman was straight up annoying, and was easily not the hottest one on the show (like she thought she was)…by far.

Team avalanche is quickly becoming my favorite on the show, they’re hilarious, and Bear can flat out drive.

I agree, the Evo didn’t deserve to stay on. However, I was not terribly fond of team Ferrari, Yelena is definitely a gold digger with no interest in cars and Markus was a stupid driver albeit could control the car reasonalby well as he showed in the first episode.

They did mention barrel penalties, but I seriously think they fudged the numbers a little so Evo would stay in.

i thought this was the most exciting episode yet. And was i not right about who was getting kicked off last week about this episode. If you come to the bullrun forums, you can talk to the teams and learn more about them. There is actually a few teams using fuel cells, the dart, the shelby, and the pantera. I loved the challenge, didnt show driving skill but did show team work. I didnt thing the ferrari should have got the boot, but i heard that when yelana , the co-driver of the ferrari touched the stearing wheel they may have got disqualified for that. another thing that happend behind the scenes from what i heard from a few of the cast members if that team ferrari had cut off Goldberg’b buss, they had to slam on the breaks and everyone went flying inside, so Goldberg didnt like marcus to much. Thats why he must have treated him they way he did when he threw him his keys at the end.

I agree – Evo should probably have gone home. There should have been time penalties for each barrel they hit or something. Team Avalanche was really impressive – excellent communication skills put them in 1st place in that challenge. I’m glad to see the Lexus girls won … they work well together and seem to have good sportsmanship. Unlike team Evo, with their stupid victory dance at the end .. man, I wanted someone to walk up to them and punch their lights out. Glad to see Yelena sent home… she was bugging the heck out of me.. how she possibly thinks she’s “hot” in any way, shape or form escapes me. Those lips look like a bicycle inner tube that was overinflated by about 75 psi. The boobs… oh, never mind.
I would love to see more of Team Dart (as I have a ’71 Dart that I need motivation to get back to work on…)… hopefully they’ll be in it for a while.
