Whoa! Spectacular Dragstrip Mishaps at the '09 March Meet

Mark Rebilas is clearly a heck of a photographer, and at this year’s March Meet he did a great job of putting himself in harm’s way to capture some truly astonishing mayhem out on the strip. He’s got a whole heap of crazy wreck photos posted up on his blog, including an animated sequence of this Mopar funny car blowing its whole body into the air as its guts continue ondown the track in flames. Amazing pictures, a great way to spend 20 minutes on the clock at work, I wish I had the skills and equipment to take pictures like that when I go to the races. My little point and shoot just doesnt cut it lol.
