Jay Leno Takes World's Fastest Production Car For A Spin
Bick66
Check out this video from Jay’s Garage on the 257-mph SSC Ultimate Aero. I’m proud to say that this American-made supercar holds the current Guinness world record for being the fastest production car ever built. The best part is that there just happens to be one for sale on eBay–anyone interested?
Watch the video here, check out the auction here, and follow the jump for more pics of this incredible machine.

Brett Powers, according to the folks over at Jalopnik they are off a Focus. http://jalopnik.com/5166195/the-ford-focus-svt-shares-its-parts-with-a
nes, this video is from last summer, it’s a bummer you missed it
And retroman, Jerod Shelby owns SSC, and is not related to the great Carroll Shelby. I’m sure this little fact will always confuse people, it’s an easy one to make.

The front end definitely looks alot better than the Veyron’s. You know, the first time I heard about this car and it’s maker, the just said it was made by Shelby Super Cars (SSC). I naturally assumed Shelby American had another arm in the industry. I love Shelbys, but wow, I would have never dreamed there would be two car companies with such similiar names.

Those aren’t Focus headlights. I just wrote an article on this car, should be on here in the next few weeks. Looks like you beat me to it huh?

Awesome, record breaking car, and it deserves to be. But, I really can’t stand the ill-fitting Focus headlights!
