I Get to Drive the Fiesta on Thursday

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

One of my best friends had a first generation Fiesta when we were in high school. We beat the crap out of that poor car, but it was a blast to drive. So how about this new Fiesta? Could it be a contender? Will it pose a threat to hot imports the Honda Fit? I finally get to drive one on Thursday while I’m in New York. Jalopnik wrote a rave review last week, so I’m expecting great things. If you have anything you want me to check out, post it in the comments!

I love the old “Buy American” sign in the background. I think the headlights are cool and overall they did a nice job with the look of the car. I’ll be curious to see what you think of it.

I think they call it 3/5 door because the back hatch is still a way to get inside the cabin rather then a sedan

Is this thing gonna be available in 2-door hatchback form? (or “3-door” hatch for those of you who get in through the back)

It looks like it going to be a mean little cruiser

I’ve driven one, and it friggen rocks. This little car, love it or hate it, will be a game changer.

I too think it should be a fun car to drive, though the headlight treatment is really quite ugly.

I bet these are fun little cars, I can’t wait to take one out for a spin.
