Thats a sick Mk3, damn sick. I do agree however about the holes, that does suck, but until then, you’ll be lookin “ratty”! haha. Its a shame we cant just invent a paint method for this look/feel… (though I’m sure its possible, if not already done.)

I like it.. i’ve already seen a lot of this.. its a VW mostly thing but i’ve seen all kinds of European cars with rusted body panels.. always intentional.. its sort of like a rat-rod.. i guess its finally coming (back) to the states.. i wont rust my ride but i definitely like this rat..

ya know this kinda reminds me of how the ricers pay money for their car to sound like its got the exhaust rusted off it…in this case you go to work sanding off your (usually) perfectly good paint to watch it rust so you are ‘custom’. Different yes, smart…probably not!

I kinda like the look and would be all about it if it were painted to look rusted, but actual rust just doesnt do it for me. I like the red wheels, and I was excited to see the wide whites, until I looked closer. Is it just me or do they look painted on, well there go my hopes of finding wide whitewalls on a tire with a thinner profile the a 75 series tire.

Wow, Looks like my rusted out, beat up, multi colored ’93 Dodge Spirit just made the cool status with the latest fad and I didn’t even do anything to it!!!! lol. Seriously, I wasn’t keen on the rusted hood thing, but when you do the whole car like this, it looks sick!!! Wouldn’t take it out in the rain or snow though. It might develop holes like my Dodge.
