Remote Control Drag Racing
By Brian Lohnes
BangShift.com
Down in the dumps that you don’t have the cashola to build that gnarly drag race machine you’ve always dreamed about? Think you’re going to be stuck running your mom’s minivan until the end of time? Fear not! There’s plenty of racing you can do on your budget, and at high speeds too.
The world of remote -control drag racing is filled with small hot rods that have all the functions that their big brothers have, including real deal wheelie bars, slicks, and specific chassis. Some of these are actually quicker than Keith Turk’s Nova.
The International Model Drag Racing Association has a central hub website for the r/c drag racing community, and it’s a great place to read up and learn more about how to get involved. It looks like a gas and some of those little cars real haul ass.

Damn those are frickin quick! I thought my brushless Rustler was quick but compared to those, 70mph isn’t quick anymore.

Those things are freakin fast. There is a group around here that races those in a parking lot at the local mall. It’s pretty cool to see in person.
