What Was Your First Car Show Like?
Gotadime
Not too long ago, I participated in a car show for the first time. It was a great overall experience and I even got to meet up with my CarDomain buddy Robb. They ran out of participation ribbons, but Robb was nice enough to give his up for me. Yes, a small gesture, but something that I’ll never forget (it’s proudly displayed on my wall). I’ll never forget how beautiful the day was, I’ll never forget the stunning ’70 Boss Mustang that showed up, and I’ll never forget the high that I got from finally participating in a show. So, what was your first car show like?

If I had known you were in town for that car show, I would’ve hiked up the hill to see you and the car.

I was kinda nervous. I didn’t wanna hit a worthy car with my shitbox. Parking was by far the worst part of it. I did meet the original owners of my car, and learned that my engine was indeed a 455. The treasurer of the club also turned out to be my neighbor.

no problem man.. you GOTTA have something from your first car show! maybe we’ll both take home some trophies from this one coming up ;-D
my first one was phenominal, about 70 cars, alot of great cars, alot of not-so great ones too.. lol there was also great music too, I got like 560 pictures from it, i was honestly surprised that someone wanted to come and talk to me and appreciate my car and what i had done with her… amazing… and it ended way too fast.. and i even won best in class from the local Ford dealer… onward & upward!

My first car show was a Checker Car Club of America show at the Gilmore car museum in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Talk about the most eclectic mixture of fellas you’ve ever met.

The first show I attended was NOPI nationals, in Atlanta Georgia in 05. Had a great time. But the first show I ever entered was a small, local show that almost got rained out. It was the “Mopar weekend” at the Julian drag strip in Julian NC. Actually won my first trophy at my first show! Was “best in show, miscellaneous category”… Since the Dodge Durango doesn’t usually have its own class…..

well the first one i went to wasn’t a huge show, just a car show that a local classic car club has maybe 2 or 3 times every summer in the mall parking lot, but i loved it, it was mostly classic muscle cars from the 60s and early 70s, im guessing maybe 30 cars roughly, i haven’t been to a big huge show yet though with hundreds and hundreds of cars, biggest one i’ve been to had roughly 100-150 cars maybe

Fun, intimidating and somewhat confusing how/what was going on. Didn’t go my first time with someone who was familiar so that made it a little worse I guess.
