He Fought the Law: Totally Wicked Police Chase!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Ok, police chase videos are a dime a dozen—but this one is outstanding! If I had to guess, I’d say the car is hot, because since the officer had plenty of time to get the plate number, it’s not like the driver is going to get away with this stunt. Initially, the Stealth gets a good lead, and it’s tough to even see it in the frame. But as the chase goes on, the cop catches up, and the measures the driver takes to flee get more desperate. When he goes through the intersection? Yikes! I’m not going to spoil the ending, other than to say you can see the crash.

That was a rippin ride! Seems he bound somthing up when he spent some time off road after leaving the first freeway. The second leg of his trip was on a clearer road and the cop was right behind him. I was looking at the white lines and niether of them were moving as fast as they were on the crowded freeway. And did you notice the smoke pouring out of the Stealth/Stratus (still not sure what it was…) Anyhow, I’m with Curtis. I wish they wern’t illegal. But then how would you get a cop to chase you?? That would be the best part….(no I don’t condone illegal driving!)

I have to give the overall skills of this dude a 9.3…on the 3rd PIT, he shoulda turned away from the divider…the cop woulda t-boned him, he woulda spun out and continued on….But not that I’m condoning illegal behavior…just what I woulda done…..

Not a Stealth, its a Stratus R/T. Must have been a manual tranny with a pretty adequate driver too because he was OWNING them. Too bad for him you cannot outrun the Motorola.

I kinda wish chases weren’t so illegal and dangerous. They seem like they’d be quite the thrill. Heh heh.

Barring the illegality, stupidity and all that and thinking about what measures someone can take who dosen’t want to be PITted…

A 007 mod can be done, installing oil reserve and compressed air tanks in the trunk. The compressed air can be released into the oil reserve tank using a solenoid valve, forcing the oil to spray nozzles at each corner of the rear of the car. A rig like that would pretty much eliminate their desire to even approach the rear of the car, leaving spike strips as their only recourse.
-
Of course, no matter what it’s incredibly stupid to even consider running from the cops. It endangers lives and since the invention of radio communication and chase helicopters the end is always the same.

This was amusing, even moreso the one posted by SouthernGuy but even professional stunt drivers would end up in cuffs.

wasn’t that great compared to others i’ve seen, it was just hauling ass with one time where the guy almost got T-boned once and then flipped over at the end like most chases end where the one being chased messes up 99 times out of 100
want to see a great police chase with an awesome driver being chased, check this out
