well that suck a fat one.. but i guess that’s what ya get when u have a car built the way enzo are made.. oh well… grab a beer and watch it burn and hope you didn’t leave any thing in the car…

This is why you keep a fire extinguisher in your car even if it isn’t a race car.

man you know how bad i would feel. if i was that guy i would sit in the car when it when up in flames

isn’t it stupid that a car that expensive can have such a fatal flaw, when cars costing a tiny fraction are fine.

Dang but dem cars burn good.

Flavorade hit it. Dry rot from sitting, combined with the high temps produced by those engines and the fact that they have more carbon fiber than metal all contribute to all the fires. Carbon fiber burns easy, metal doesn’t.

Money, truly gone up in flames.

man if that was my car I’d be crying to let me burn in the seat with it….. Well maybe not because dying by fire is one of the ways I’d never wanna die lol. but man i’d be crying, How many of these cars are left?

I guess a Ferrari on fire catches more attention than a corolla on fire. But I agree… exotics seem to be more suitable to suddenly burn on fire.

Jun 16, 2009 at 9:09 am

Now, thats HOT !!!!

The owner seems pretty relaxed….he’s prob. got a couple of these exotics just sittin in his garage

pttransamdriver
Jun 16, 2009 at 8:49 am

He doesn’t mention why it’s on fire just that it passed him, hmm… road rage?

drkniht
Jun 16, 2009 at 8:22 am

Damn, Shame real shame, Such a car. I hope no one was hurt or dead. Still, am trying to figure out how the car cought fire! If it is a factory malfunction(which i doubt) the folks may be lucky if not. Just too bad.

When you start feeling the pinch of the poor economy just burn your supercar and collect a nice insurance check.

The catalytic converters caused many Ferraris & Lambos to overheat.

why is it that all these cars seem to light up like that. Im starting to think my American made car is made a hell of alot better then some $1,000,000 car. lol

SCARCE911
Jun 15, 2009 at 7:58 pm

They should put a factory installed foam extinguishing system in..with all the enzos spontaneous combustion issues..RECALL!!!. I think with the $$$$$$ spent on them..you should never have to worry about it flaming up on you on your “peaceful Sunday drive”

Flavorade
Jun 15, 2009 at 6:51 pm

Line or gasket failure from dry rot most likely. Should have driven it more often. They built these cars to operate everyday. You cannot just let them sit around and drive them once in a while.

I would really hate to have to make the call to the insurance company about that. “Hello, my car thats worth more then both of our incomes combined just burnt to the ground, can you send a check?”

Cal26Stang
