Not Your Average Barn Find: Original Lambos!
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
Of course, both are right at home in a barn. Before he started producing the hot-blooded Raging Bulls he’s known, for Ferruccio Lamborghini made his living building tractors. If you believe the legend—and let’s all believe, please—he didn’t venture into the sports car world until he took his complaints about the clutches in his Ferraris to Enzo himself, who dismissed him as a simple tractor builder. The rest, as they say, is history. Check out some of Lamborghini’s more humble handiwork.

I think that is neat. I would have never would have thought that he made tractors at first.

sorry for the mass posts, but any tractor after the year 1963 (when automobile lamborghini was founded) i assume would use the new logo for his company.

now we just need to figure out the years of the tractors in the other pictures and see if the car company had already been started. Lamborghini still produces tractors however they use their new logo (the one on their cars) just with a different color scheme (blue and white instead of gold and black)

i always knew that he started out making tractors, but i never knew that the logos and amblems were the same the whole way through. Thats amaing, just as Austin said. but who is to say that these logos are made to fit race cars, or has our minds just been conditioned to associate that logo with high speed machines of perfection instead of slow grass hauling heaps of barn equipment. Now i am going do some research on this..

1lowscort, if that tractor is restored to it’s original state, I’m truly impressed. The fact that Ferruccio created a logo that could follow him through his whole life really is remarkable. I still feel that some of those badges were added afterward though…it was just too busy.

Notice the lettering on the side.

I’m ready to believe you, but something tells me that unless Ferruccio created a stunning set of logos that just happen to fit sports cars and put them on his tractors, those badges are not original. Perhaps those are Lamborghini tractors, but I’m having a hard time believing that the badges were on there when they were created. If they were, Ferruccio created a logo that ended up working out perfect for his future work. I would rather see the video show certain distinct aspects of the Lamborghini tractor than the badges, as badges don’t mean anything anymore. For example: http://tinyurl.com/lpta8t
