Cool Cash For Clunkers Calculator
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Ford just launched the best Cash For Clunkers eligibility calculator that I’ve seen yet. Looks like my Volvo wagon is not eligible cause it gets 19 mpg. Doh! Is your ride eligible? And if so, are you gonna crush it? Check it out at letfordrecycleyourride.com

OH this is such a bunch of SH#T!!! My 1995 busted up Ford Taurus (The Tore A$$, as I lovingly call it) gets 21 MPG according the all of the Cash for Clunker websites as well as the gov. implemented sites. So NO, I am not a candidate for the rebate. How do you figure that one>?> Hellllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

After reading a few other inquiries I think this program is a little V8 discriminative!!!

its one glitch in that, it goes by what the vehicles get when they were brand new not at this moment and looks like it uses the EPA which is just an estimation, also doesn’t do the AVG between the city and hwy mileage like it should, it just uses the city mileage, so thats 3 glitches right there lol

it seems that my ‘92 Ford Taurus SHO(stick),’94 Taurus SHO(auto),and wifies ‘07 equinox all dont qualify, and all are rated at 19 mpg…go figure, but I would have traded the chevy in a heart beat…check eng.light is on constantly, and high car payments suck!

They said they’d give me $4,500 for my ‘94 Supra TT… LOL! That car is worth $20,000 on blue book right now as it sits. Sorry, but not trading a Supra for anything Ford… and certainly not for $4,500….

I just checked, my Ram is eligible, but I can’t buy a new mustang GT with the certificate, so cash for clunkers can go fuck itself.

Yesterday i seen two Ford Focus that happen to be breaking down on inclines,so it’s not likely that i will consider their 3,500 incentive.haha
