Shelby GT500 Beats the Vette on CarDomain
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
This one came as a bit of a surprise, mostly cause the Vette seemed to be killing the Shelby right out of the gate. But the Shelby slowly reeled the Vette back in, and managed to win last week’s Showroom Showdown by a decent margin. Nice work, Shelby. My favorite comment was by dgaf88: “I’ll take a Shelby because I’m more into muscle than sport cars. Raw power just isn’t as fun without the shitty handling.” Stay tuned for another Showroom Showdown tomorrow!

Evo Clips Curb, Nails Statue in Latvia
By John Coyle
Deputy Editor
The coolest part of this clip might not actually be the crash itself, but the way that the second driver, after going up on two wheels, manages to keep his Subie from flipping. And while I understand there’s a fair amount of luck involved in such a maneuver, I don’t think I’d be able to manage something like that even if I had all my fingers and toes crossed. It’s pretty clear from the first second that the Evo driver isn’t going to be able to navigate the turn—the angle is just too steep—but fortunately most his speed is lost before he makes contact with the statue. Think the driver and co-pilot were able to right the car and keep going? I’ll give them a 50/50 shot…
All Mopar Spring Roundup Pics Live!
By Rob Einaudi

We just posted around 300 photos from the Seattle area All Mopar Spring Roundup. The first page is mostly pics from the parking lot and swap meet area. Then it gets into the show cars. This custom Imperial was a big hit and was definitely one of my favorites. Anyway, check out all the pics!

Biker Attempts Burnout, Fails Miserably
By John Coyle

Right from the point where this dude gets off his bike, you can tell this little exercise is going to end badly. I mean, it looks like he barely has a hold of the machine, and it’s not like there’s a ton of room for error here. I’ve probably watched this clip like ten times already, and I can’t get over how the rider flops around like a rag doll after the bike gets traction and shoots off toward the parked car. Fortunately, it looks like the dude is OK, and the car seems to have escaped without any damage.
Power Tour Day 3: Shop Day
By Chris Allen
Motorfanatics
Today started out where no Power Tour participant wants to be…the shop. As I had mentioned yesterday, when we arrived in Racine we noticed that the alignment on the Pacer was WAY off. Could have been the hammering at the drag strip, but somehow a few of the adjustment cams in the front suspension slipped and the front tires looked like they were ready to fold over. We woke up early and busted out the Yellow Pages and made a call to the guys at Alignment By Klamm in Racine, WI.

Power Tour 2009: Day Three, South Bend
By Ryan Brutt

Getting up today, I looked outside to see it had been raining again. I don’t think I’ve ever woken up to a dry parking lot on either Tours.
Skipping the driver’s meeting, I headed out on my own to Kenosha Wisconsin to hit up a diner from the show Diners, Drive ins and Dives. It was a little out of the way, but every week I go to another place that was on the show. I also wanted to hit up Kenosha to see their antique street cars that still run through the town.
Finding the place wasn’t a problem, trying to eat there was! It was packed, and is a typical old diner. Half of the place was an old railroad passenger car, the other half was added on at another time. I got seated at the end of the diner. The people were wonderful there, they had character and were really funny. I actually had a good time there, and the food was excellent. Though it did take a while to get my food and get out of there, I will be going back.

Here’s Topo’s latest widebody Challenger—widened rear and front. And this one is rolling on 20s, which looks at lot better to me, anyway. Next up is a supercharger. More pics after the jump!

What Are Your Top 10 Complaints About Car Classifieds?
Neuwerks
With the introduction of places like Craigslist, and online community classified sections, it seems that cars of all types are coming out of the woodwork and posted up for sale online. The bad thing about the ease of posting something for sale is that you get so many people trying to make their car sound like something it isn’t. Too many are asking way too much for a polished turd, or simply make it impossible for someone to become interested in a car because the ad is so misleading, or the pictures are beyond worthless.

Mid-State Mopars
By Ron Honig
WaytooFurious
I thought that it was great that Rob was going to the Spring Roundup on the weekend, because half a world away I was doing the same sort of thing. On Sunday I got to the Mid-State Mopar show. This is the third year for the show and it is a great celebration of all things Mopar. It always draws a large crowd because it is held in winter out of the normal car show season. This year was no exception with the largest crowd to date. I took a bunch of pics, check it out after the jump.

Can You Identify This Car?
Gotadime
In Round Three, the first guess was correct and LunarStrain walked away victorious after saying “Porsche 944.” This time around, it’s a bit trickier, but you guys should be able to get it pretty quick. This vehicle does not belong to a CarDomain member. The first person to guess the car correctly based on the pic below is a true car nut! Remember, all you need is the make and model—not the year. Here’s photo four:
