Naw....Big Bill rewrote the rule book effectivly banning the Aero cars that Mopar was churning out to win at Daytona. thus the Super Birds and the Daytonas were gonzo. Highly collectible today....but it wasn't that Ford and Chevy couldn't keep up. Fact is, Ford already had Areo cars in the works WITH a handful of Cyclone Spoilers and Torino Talledegas rolling. A couple examples are around today to tell the sad tale of a pair of racing legends never realised. Word is Chevy had some concepts under wraps (the Skunkworks mentioned in the article) that were never created due to the NASCAR ban of anything looking areo...
Google Image search the Cyclone Spoiler and Torino Talledega...
Those things are wierd looking, but all the same rarer than all get out.
This Plymouth Superbird....Wow! Wish that had been created by the factory. THat thing is freakin' Sweet as hell! As unique as it is, as cool as it looks and sounds....there are still those who say things like (different Strokes...ect..." Jeez. I guess you can't please everybody. (you cant do that to a GTX!!!Blasphame!!)

Whatever! Id take one in a heart beat! I love it!
