Sunset Gold 2010 Mustang

I think its a great color, The issue I have with the Mustang is the fact that they are Slow. I got rid of my 09 3 months after buying it. I tried, I really did to like it, but it just could not get up and go. Next time I’ll go for a super snake.

Whoa!!! No need to get into worthless arguements over some comment I made. When I made my first post, I was strictly speaking Pony Cars, not Sports Cars. We all know that a Vette or a Viper have certain advantages over Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers, namely handling, but grunt power factors in too. When I said factory produced, I left out companies like Roush, Hennessey, Saleen, and a dozen others that actually have the cars shipped in, tear them back down, and then rebuild them. I don’t think of these cars as being built in house. Shelbys on the other hand, with the exception of the Super Snake, roll off pretty much the same line as V6 and GT Mustangs. They then go from a factory that Ford owns straight to the dealer, no middle man involved. Anything is possible with specialty companies, because there aren’t as many investors and bean counters to please. As crazy as Shelbys are, they still had alot of design constraints. The GT500 couldn’t possibly meet all the dreams that Carrol had for it, and I think that is why he pulled a few off the line to turn into Super Snakes, but he had to do it in his own garage cuz that’s something that wouldn’t fly with Ford’s bean counters. And just for the record, all stock GT500s have 540hp now. The KR was released as a trial period for the new setup.

I had a gold ’67 Camaro and loved it. I think this color would only work on the new Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, etc. I would puke if I saw it on a Cobalt or a Saturn

i look like the dumbass? i believe your boy was refering to the 540hp KR not the supersnake. he said super snake and all but he put 540 like he was speaking about the KR. then he said chevrolet has yet to put out a car with over 540 ponies stock. i showed him two chevys and a dodge. im not the dumbass. I took what your boy said and ran with it. i smashed the conversation and you come in from the side like you have something to prove. the supersnake is badass i agree. but chevrolets Z06 corvette on resale is cheaper, faster, corners better, and brakes better. And no doubt it looks better. Oh wait thats not even the Z06… do i really need to smash you love for ford and point out the fact that the ZR1 has 100hp less and still whips the shit out of your fucking super snake? hahaha better acceleration, cornering, breaking, and well no doubt it beat your super snake on looks also. great argument tho. i mean you look like the dumbass. hahaha chevy has plastic pieces. who cares? it passes safety inspections, and well they make badass shit

I think the color comes off very smooth! We all are looking to make it unique and all our own and with this color in 2009 you would def be standing out. Ford has had Gold in the line up for years just not for the Mustang.

1567012- Haha! It’s true, Chevy’s got lego plastic like pieces. I’ve owned many vehicles, both imports and domestics, and when I got into a chevy I felt like the interior was designed by tonka toys.

CH3VYBOI- even tho the mustang has 15 more than the v6 camaro it is still faster and with 111hp less than the SS its .1 slower 0-60. All chevy does is try and make big hp in a shitty car. When the S/C Cobra and Mach 1 came out in 03′ GM couldnt do shit to beat them. Hence why it took 8yrs to make another camaro. Maybe they should focus on making a decent car without all the lego plastic interior and ugly looks instead of trying to catch up to Ford.

Which is almost 100 more than the ZR1 and just 25 less that the Lingenfelter S/C LS7 SS..wow thats not bad with 1.6 less liters..You dont understand horsepower isnt everything. Ford is making big hp out of a 5.4L compared to the 6L and 7L that Dodge and Chevy are using. Im sure if Ford put a 6L in the Mustang it would make more or the same than the SS or SRT8.

Now not to make you look stupid or anything but know of not one but two cars produced by CHEVY that have more than 540 horses. haha obviously you have not seen the LS7-powered 800 HP Lingenfelter Camaro SS. i do believe that is two chevrolets pushing more than your measily 540 horses. oh wait… you said dodge also. well let me school you on them also. dodge is planning to capture the imagination of the would be "tire smokers" at this years SEMA show. they happen to be bringing a dodge challenger with an SRT10 pushing 600 horses. wait a second… three cars over 540 horses… THREE? wow ummm no offense but there are plenty more to speak of. I am a Chevy fan so i kno my cars.

For the guys that said something about the 315 hp keeping up with the camaro look at one of the previous Car and Driver magazines that says MUSTANG WINS with 111 less horsepower. The car may be .1 sec slower but thats without a 6th gear and it out preforms the camaro on a track with a solid rear axel. It even has a better salom g rating. Imagine if Ford made it as expensive as the camaro how much it would blow it away! No contest!

Ford’s already working on a more powerful GT. Word has it they’re bringing back the 5.0, and the new V6 Ford is debuing in the SHO has around 300 ponies and is more fuel efficient than current sixes. It will no doubt find its way into the Mustang. Also, let’s not forget that the Stang is the lightest of the 3 pony cars, and is quite nimble despite the live rear axle. The added power will go alot further with these in mind. Just take a look at the GT500 and the Super Snake. I’m still waiting for Chevy and Mopar to factory produce 540hp pony cars like Ford has (i.e. GT500).

It may have the same HP as the V6 camaro. But that little 315hp motor keeps up pretty well with the V8 camaro. The GT mustang is only .1 seconds behind the ss on 0-60.

I think ford should be focusing on making an engine that can keep up with all the new cars coming out instead of these new colors ! The camaro’s v6 puts out the same hp as the mustang gt v8 ! not gunna go through the list of all the other cars in the price range that are over powering ford for the same price and same if not better quality ! And whaqt sucks is I love the body of the mustang but Im not gunna buy it when other companies can give me the same car for a cheaper price

I love what Ford is doing. They may not have every color offered on each lot but they have the colors. They have made it now to where a soon to be mustang owner can have any color that they want and with the roush they can have any color combo and with the shelby they dont have to have stripes. A whole new meaning to have it your way. Great desisions by Ford!

Its ok not a deal breaker but neither a maker for me I never liked mustangs as their interiors suck, this cars have always been too rough around the edges and heavy for my taste, plus they are as common as a laptop computers everybody seems to have one.

i saw one for the first time about 4 days ago. It jumped out and grabbed my attention. i thought at first that it was dull and for old ladies (like the one that was driving it). but the image of it stuck in my brain while i was in class for the next 3 hours. and that, that is why i like it.

I think it looks great. Ford had a similiar color for the SN-95, but it didn’t look right there, but now the Mustang looks more retro, so pulling older hues out of the closet isn’t such a bad idea, well, as long as the don’t bring Grabber Green back.
