562HP Ferrari 458 Italia to Replace F430

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

We aren’t going to get full-on porn shots of Ferrari’s 458 Italia until the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, but even though these pics are a little too CGI looking for my taste, I think it’s safe to say Ferrari’s 430 replacement is a stunner. Power comes from a 4.5 liter V8 producing 562HP and 398 pound-feet of torque, which is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch, automated manual gearbox, which means the 458 Italia will be good for over 200MPH and hit 60 in less than 3.4 seconds. I’m not a fan of the LEDs in the headlights, but I love the sculpted back end, the triple exhaust and how fluid the lines are. What do you guys think? Two more photos after the jump.

I agree with 2094469 the F-430 was mean straight outta hell just like the R-34 the R35 is just a fucking 370-z on steroids and while this ferrari is very nice and i would love one (seriously)… it just doesnt make my knees quiver like the F-430

Kinda like what happened to the Gt-R (R-34)old model had a more muscular aggressive front end, and got replaced by a just round chubby face, so sad.

I think the the F430 is a much better looking car, the back looks awesome but the front eh not that great. just my opinion.

i like it but maybe its because its done in CGI that looks more compact than current Ferrari’s. but in any case it looks amazingly sweet and I’f I ever could I’d afford one i’d definitely get it but of course if that time ever comes I”m sure Ferrari Will have some new Amazing Car that’s 100 times better lol

In my opinion, Ferrari went wrong with this new model. I wouldnt buy it and it would only make my head turn once. Not impressed by the design. Seems like Ferrari isnt what it once was :(

Overall it is very nice. But I don’t know if it is a car worth replacing the F430 with.

Overall the car is definetely a knockout. I just hope the real thing doesnt look as stubby as the digital makeup model. It looks alittle too chunky.

Overall, I like it but Im just not a fan of the third exhaust. I guess there must be some function to have that many pipes or so we think.

HAHAHA i knew someone was gonna make a comment on how well does it burn. After seeing about 150 Ferraris spontaneously combust, I think it’s logical that if anyone were to ever come into a large sum of money for any reason at all, and wanted to get an exotic sports car, that they should never have a Ferrari as the first choice. That is… unless they feel like completely redoing the wiring.

Too bubblely. Reminds me of a Mazda from the early 90′s. A Ferrari should not do that.
