This car is a piece of American history and should be preserved as such.Why was it resold in the first place ?It should be back in a museum.Just because you have money doesn,t give you the right to distroy history.Hopefuly Jimmy Addison,s 67 GTX doesn,t go to auction so some guy who doesn,t appreciate American histroy,takes it out and destroys it. As a muscle car owner (1965 GTO)please hang on and respect your history. Even us Canadians respect and cherous the American muscle cars.

tonny sorensen bought the car, the same guy who is owned of “von dutch” clothing company (in my opinion a company who is ruining kenneth howards name and art) and his plans are to remove all the original graphics and drive the 61 original mile car regularly. what a f*cking joke this guy is. if he wants a car to drive regularly buy another chevelle convertable.

No car is worth that much. Don’t get me wrong I love cars, love the Chevelle but you know what…they’re all JUST cars. That’s all they ever will be. So if you want to spend a million dollars on a Mustang or a Camaro be my guest, doesn’t make it any more than a Mustang or a Camaro or a Chevelle. People need to come back to reality and realize this.

Why the big price drop? Have you ever seen a chevelle? I don`t care if it broke the sound barrier. Nice car but no chevelle is worth even a quarter of the amount the rich morons paid for it. It seams that egos and tv cameras can make people do stupid things.

The question that begs to be asked is if the seller, through a third party, bought his car back (it happens all the time) to avoid taking a total bath? More than anything, this illustrates that the bubble has burst, just like the real estate market.

Just goes to show the allure of Barrett-Jackson and the showboating that goes on. Obviously the economy plays a part in it as well, but the rich are still rich (for the most part). RM puts on some seriously high quality and very high-end auctions, so I don’t think this should reflect negatively on them at all.
