Hardcore Porsches on the Streets at Scottsdale Pavilions

I try to make it out to the Scottsdale Pavilions car show at least every other week or so. It’s a a weekly car show where people come and go throughout the afternoon/night and just about any kind of car, bike, motorcycle, etc. is welcome and common. Every now and then, something (or some things) come along that just make me go “wow.” The group of Porsches that came out this past weekend is a good example of one of these ocassions. Built and brought out by Patrick Motorsports, the blue/purple car is a seven year project that was seeing the street for the very first time. The green 914 is running a 355 V8 with a monstrous supercharger sitting on top and makes one hell of a noise. More photos of these cars and some others in high-resolution at Desert-Motors.

i’m not a fan of the spoilers either, but ofcourse they are there for the wow factor. i’m not a fan of the blue one being convertabled up the way it is either, but the simple fact is that they have the money to make them look as rediculous as they want, and also they will probably kick most anyones ass thats commenting on here. i do have to say though the 914′s are the UGLIEST thing that ever rolled off porches assembly line and i never understood why the 944 got labeled the poor mans porches when it was a far better looking machine, and i have seen way more of the 914′s in trailer parks and ghettos then i ever saw of the 944.

Well, gimme the green one. I’m sure its engine breathes just fine, the wing looks more acceptable and reminds me less of that Civic with a huge aftermarket monstrosity on its decklid I saw on the way home.

I think that the people saying the wings are rice don’t know much as to why the wings are there. The blue wing has the ducts to cool the engine and NEEDS to be that high to be efficient. I would dare anyone to drive either one of these car to their limits without the wings just to see them slam into a wall because they thought the wings are rice.

Nothing on either of these cars are “rice”, including the wing on the blue 911. The thing is a stripped down, high horsepower, track monster and the wing creates downforce. Maybe about 10% of the original car remains… it’s a full-blown race car.

haha i like the blue but without the spoiler. if i had my choice iw ould go with the green one. something about the tires and the fact that its greenmake me love it. im different but WFC? lol

The blue porsche’s wing is rice. The green porsche also has a big ass wing not really might taste but I think the wings serve a purpose. Anyhow they both look great

the spoiler on the green one is more purposeful, dosen’t scream RICER like the blue one and yeah I know, its German so maybe that translates to KRAUTER?
