What’s Next: Honda’s CR-Z

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

This car will be unveiled as a “concept” at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, but it’s very close to the production vehicle that will hit showrooms in 2010. With styling that artfully mixes cues from the old CRX with the new Insight, this high-tech hybrid will be available with a six speed manual transmission, making it a green car that enthusiasts could love. They should just market it by saying the “CRX is back and better than ever, better fuel effincy and still as fun to drive” i would by one of these new fuel sippers but only if it has some decent get up and go then i dump the clutch and say FU to the electic motor and rev the hell out of the gas engine. huh i guess my approach defeats the purpose of hybrid oh well let my grand kids clean up my mess its the american way.

Wow, looks a lot squarer & uglier than the earlier concept.. & packaged more like the Civic Hatch on the 80’s & 90’s (but taller), than a CRX.

Looks like Honda Accord meets Honda CR-X to me. I like it, I just wish they offered it in a non-hybrid form.

I like it! Looks like what the CRX would have evolved too.

Not a fan of the Hybroids but definitely impressed with Honda’s styling lately.
