NSX Perfection

By Patrick Ernzen

desert-motors.com

I’ve always loved the NSX, and while it is still highly regarded in certain circles, it’s often looked at as overpriced, underpowered, dated and so on. With a lifespan of 14 years where it went relatively unchanged while others caught up and surpassed it (at least, on paper), it’s an understandable view. While the NSX remains a phenomenal car in factory form (it quickly and deservedly earned the moniker of “the everyday supercar”), it only gets better when put in the right hands and, in my opinion, is one of the very best platforms to come from any manufacturer. That’s why a car like this 700+hp widebody ’94 NSX just makes me all warm and fuzzy. When I first met the owner and saw the car in unfinished form, I immediately wanted to shoot it. Fast forward two and half years later and this is the results of that shoot. Check out the full article, more photos and the rest of the issue at Desert-Motors Magazine.

Thanks, fellas! And very nice car, NSXTurbo03. Definitely a different route, but a very route as well. The car was actually pretty much changing hands as I took these photos and I don’t know the current owner, but thanks for the input. Not sure about the camber, but there’s more info about the car in the article if you follow the link (assuming you haven’t already).

Hey man nice article and pics. This nsx is great, mine is also perfected I think with a different look though. Mine is 9 years newer and not widebody, but I really like the sorcery widebody kit. I’m not sure if this nsx is sorcery… Once I replace the stock rods and pistons in my nsx I can get 850rwhp out of mine with my turbo setup. Mines only pushing about 500hp right now at a safe boost level, and believe me a 500hp nsx is real fast. I couldn’t imagine a 700hp or 850hp nsx, the only problem i see is how fast those tires will get eaten up, but then again if your not juicing it in 1st gear you can eliminate that problem with the nsx. One last thing, looking at the last pic above it seems like his rear tire camber is off alittle and not lined up perfectly, that is the only thing wrong I noticed — is the stance of those rears, but maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me? It does take some time to get those cambers corrected once you lower the nsx, its easier said then done, I know from experience. You should ask the owner if he purchased the thom ayotte camber correction hardware from (ayotte technologies), if not it would definetly be a good idea.

One of the cleanest NSXs I have ever layed my eyes on. Great photography shots as well.
