Mopar History For Sale
By David Belau

Mancini Racing is selling some interesting Mopar history. According to their website, they are liquidating assets from a Chrysler outside engineering facility. It’s worth a look because there’s a lot of neat history there. Prototypes from the 2.2/2.5L turbo era, SRT4 engines, Hemis, Slant Sixes… Check out the sale here.
How about this: a Shelby prototype DOHC turbo engine?
Or how about one of the Maserati engines?
And here’s a personal favorite, an aluminum slant six block:

That Shelby engine isn’t exactly a prototype. It’s all production, minus the Shelby valve covers and silver paint. That’s the same engine used in my ‘92 Spirit R/T. It was also dropped into the Daytona as well, and I can speak from experience, it may only be a four banger, but it’s got the capability to kick you in the pants harder than some V8s.
