SEMA Preview: Four Mopar Concepts
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Ok, I know I’m biased, but I think Mopar always has the best OEM booth at SEMA. And it looks like this year will not disappoint, despite the whole bankruptcy thing. Just check out this Wrangler “Lower Forty” with its 40-inch tires! Badass! Apparently there is no suspension or body lift on this Rubicon. But the fender flares are four inches higher and an inch wider. I really dig the chopped, integrated roll cage.Three more concepts after the jump, and you can read more about these vehicles over at Autoblog

ILLUDE-U, keep in mind these are CONCEPTS for the SEMA show, and highly unlikely to be produced as a true production model. SEMA is all about showing off what can be done, and making shit as crazy as you can!

I think the wrangler looks awesome… it may be competely impractical but it looks like an old school tonka truck and that is cool

I think mopar has officially lost it. A Wrangler with 40s. You would have to have a least a 29 inch spare tire to keep it level….UMmmmm Yeah right…Can you say horrible fuel economy and failing the new CAFE standards? The Ram looks nice though, its just a color match job. The other wrangler is more likely to be built. But unless you plan no moving to subsaharan Africa you really don’t need it. Next we have the challenger with a new color scheme. It looks lke a larger hood scoop and some steelies.. ok now why should we buy it? To sum it all up….. The recession has hit detroit hard.
