Million Dollar Daytona
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I really enjoy getting Michael Sheehan’s newsletter and seeing what he has for sale. I’ll probably never own a Ferrari, but I can dream, right? I really love this 71 Daytona Spyder, one of just 122 Spyders built by the factory. It just underwent a full resto, and the color combo is stunning. Yours for just $995,000!

While I agree that I personally never would pay that dough for that car, it’s not a Toyota retard.

Who the hell would pay that? Do you have any Idea how much bad-ass American Muscle that $ could buy!?

$995,000 for a Toyota? It’s not even a Lexus?!?

Wow, I got a serious tide pulling me in a different direction if I had $995,000 burning a hole in my pocket.
-
Seriously, I can see myself trying to explain to someone (not in the know?) that the car’s somehow worth $995,000. Unlike a Lambo or other exotic, maybe a Deusy or something obviously above the fray… people would think I was a nutcase.
-
Well I am a nutcase that’s true, but I think this assumption is rational because the voices in my head aren’t car savvy and I ran it across them already.

Perfection. Why can’t others make cars as beautiful?

That is a gorgeous car. I wouldn’t pay a million dollars for it (McLaren F1 > Daytona), but it’s still an amazing machine.
