Well, more than likely they were on the phone. Notice the constant speed (pace) and the wide rolling turns, as if someone is occupied with something other than driving?
As for not getting out, they figured out someone or something had to be watching, and they didn't have insurance-license, or were afraid their insurance would cancel them.
But Fury Paul is right..., heavy fluid on the ground after the bounce. Guarantee they didn't get to far.

The X5 has some damage--note the dark streak on the pavement after it, ah, dismounts.
Maybe they'll get a catastrophic engine failure on top of their other problems...

Funny story: I decided to go grocery shopping on my way home from a car show Sunday and when I got back to my car and youngish woman and a twelve-ish boy were getting into the car in the next spot. I started up my car and waited for the woman to back out first. She fired up her late-model Cobalt, put it in gear, and DROVE RIGHT INTO THE EIGHT-INCH-HIGH CURB. Hellacious scraping noises ensued as she dragged her bumper over the curb, stopping only when something metal hit the concrete.
She had apparently either forgotten she was parked at a curb or had never noticed it to begin with, and intended to just pull forward instead of backing up.
She backed up (more horrible scraping noises), got out and checked her car. The bits that showed looked fine, so she got back in her car, restarted it and backed out of the space. I didn't catch what she said to the person in the next car over, who had gotten out to see what had happened, but I got the impression it was along the lines of "Why would they put that stupid curb there?"
