Subaru Version of Toyota FT-86 to Get Turbo, AWD
By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
I think the new Toyota FT-86 looks pretty good, but this rendering of the upcoming Subie version looks hot! Apparently the Subaru will be bigger, heavier, and come with a turbo 2.0 liter and AWD. More pics after the jump, and all the details over at 7tune.

Sign me up for a Subaru!
Four bangers on turbos are the way to go now. This thing will get 25mpg highway and probably keep up with the best around a track. AWD drive is great too, but I do hope it gets some ground clearance for that dirt I’ll be taking it through

I like the Toyota better, though i like both. When are they doing a six or an eight cylinder coupe? I want something with more power stock.

Based on the spy photos out there In internet land this looks like someones personal rendering with no thought to the car it’s based off of.

Just look at those spy shots, the roof line is all wrong and even though they did a hell of a job covering the rear it looks like the tail lights terminate before getting to the top of the rear quarter and last but not least the licence plate will go in the trunk lid and not the bumper also the rear deck length on that new subaru will be shorter than the one in the photo above.
Thats what I see. I hope the drive train comes true though cause that would be a stinkin awesome little car nomatter what it looks like.

Looks SO much better than the Toyota! Those subtle changes made the entire car more interesting.
