By Rob Einaudi
Editor-in-Chief
Saw the Lingenfelter 455 Trans-Am Concept on the way to check out the Mopar booth and had to stop and snap some pics. More pics and video after the jump!

(re-writen)Ha the wrong brand? Its sick as hell but come on it wouldnt bring up the downward spiral of sales that had become pontiac. Perhaps doing this instead of the piss poor new GTO Pontiac would still be around. Chevy baby

what should have been. Pontiac we will miss you. GM killed off the wrong brand this body looks so much better as a firebird than the camero

I like the black one better its designed after the 77-78 style which looks better imo… this one is designed to look like the 76 and older trans ams but im sure this one is faster with the lingenfelter motor

I am in love with this car…it looks better than the “Bandit” looking black one, hell it looks better than all the computer generated prototype pictures that were floating around the net. what the HATERS don’t realize is this look is more accurate for the camaro body than the 77-78 cat eye look. the cat eyed firebird has a wrap around rear window where the 70-75 has a flat rectangular rear window like the modern camaro, so this fits better

This is awesome. Its in the December 2009 Hot Rod Magazine. It was still under construction but the people at LPE done a great job getting it done. The people at Hot Rod are a little ahead and a little behind it seems.
