22" Gila Wheels… On A Challenger?

By Jen Dunnaway

Hmmm. Part of me really feels that this much intricate chrome bling overwhelms the otherwise scaled-down, satin-black-accented R/T. At the same time, I kind of dig the whole mis-matchedness of it. What do you guys think?

I seen this car at the show when they were pulling it in…
In defense, the wheels look sick when rolling. The pictures do no justice! I talked to one of the guys at the show and he said they are painting the main wheel satin black with the attachment cap color-matching white. Guess we will have to wait and see…

That’s a waste of a perfectly good Challenger. Couldn’t they have found a Cadillac or Lincoln to put those 22″ abortions on instead?

I’m not a fan, it reminds me of when people put really flashy over sized chrome wheels on classic muscle cars. Having just put new reproduction corvette rally wheel on my ’66 Impala you could say that this isn’t really my thing. I do see what you mean about the whole mismatch thing though. If I was given this car the first thing I would do is sell the wheels and go with something less “look at me”
