Sound Choice Audio and Performance Heritage Camaro at SEMA

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

Mark Abate of Sound Choice Audio and Performance built this amazing widebody Camaro, with a twin turbo V6 expected to produce around 550 HP. The car rides on 22 inch iFordged wheels and stops with the help of AP Racing brakes. The color is a custom mix of BASF Island Sun and Heritage Golf. More pics and a video with Mark after the jump!

The reason he did a V6 was because the V6 was FREE from GM and they wouldn’t give him the V8. He put all of his own $$$ into the rest in only 8 weeks. The end result is amazing, had a chance to see this in person. The “wide body” might not be for everyone, but it’s by no means some cheap civic paste on. The hand built quality was by far the best out the the other Camero’s that all had the same front end and no one matched the engine

The V6 is an american made 60 degree V6 (3600 to be exact) Stop all the import bash talk on this car, it does not look like an import, it looks like its ready to do some autocross racing. Just take a look at some of the autocross racers, if it wasnt for all the sponsorship decals and graphics it would look similar to this car. Oh, and for the one who posted V6=SUCK you drive a Jeep Cherokee……TEH!!!and this V6 stock will blow the doors off of that crap. (I feel insulted to compare a Cherokee to ANY Camaro) Most people that bash this 3600 V6 are mad because their big bad V8 will get stomped by this little lightweight 300hp V6.

The intake on this thing looks sweet as hell. This is prob my favorite new Camaro overall thats been done minus the redish/pinkish int. I would of color matched the copper or all black int.

“Why do they insist on the Need For Speed 2 style body kits?! Yes I get it is SEMA and all, but do the kits have to be ugly to be considered “unique” or “out of the box”?”

No but unique is different and this is different. Not a fan of the red suede but it isn’t my car. Looks great though.

I am all about “American Made” products and services, it just seems like some cool kats came up with a masterplan with what they had to work with. It’s not like GM was mass producing the V8 models or the SS wich doesn’t even freakin’ exhist. You can barely find the V6 models around. Shit is tight and that’s all there is too it. Of course we all the V8 but it’s not so get over it.

The body kit is a bit much, border line import clone. The interior could be much better without all the pink or red?. Oh and the whole twin turbo V-6 thing thats some import shit right?

I really hate what they did with the nose on this thing. That part looks simply aweful.

I don’t care how much power it has, V6=SUCK! Other than that the only other thing wrong would be the red in the interior. It just clashes with the paint too much. Oh, and the fact that it seems to be missing tires! (i.e. rims too BIG!)
