One Cool Little BMW Isetta

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

It was closing time at the SEMA show on Tuesday evening, and they were telling all the attendees to vacate the show, but I bagged a 24 Hour all access pass, so that I could wander around (within reason) on the show floor. And look what I found, this little copper colored BMW Isetta. Continue reading after the jump!

This is a 1958 Model, and it was located at the CleanTools booth, makers of the Absorber. Imagine that, using this little Isetta at SEMA to push detail products. This particular car was made in Uruguay, which makes it particularly rare in the US. All I can say is that this car is diminutive, and I wouldn’t feel safe behind the wheel on today’s highways. Golf courses maybe, but not the highway. Did you know that this is a one door car, that opens from the front?

The owner had the car repainted this ever-changing copper color scheme, and didn’t like it, but his wife wouldn’t let him sell it. What do you think?
