Who Still Thinks Vertical Doors Are Cool?

I love the lambo doors period……
But yea it’s all in the owner or designers taste…

I have lambo doors, but I feel that they fit my style of my car. However the trouble they cause is a great pain in the rear, but because of the amount of positive looks and compliments I get from them makes it all worth it. Sure there are some hatred arigent people out there who make smart remarks, but those people normally don’t have a nice car themselves and never built a car nor no realy anything about cars. As for my own thoughts, well any coupe car with lambo doors looks better then the four door sedan but not all coupes look good with the lambo doors! It realy comes down to the owners taste of choice, and if you don’t have anything to say about someone els’s car-then it best to keep those thoughts to your self! People will work hard to do what they want.

I have only seen two cars with them, but the owners of them kinda turned me off on the mod. I work at a parts store and in both instances they pulled into the handicapped space and entered the store with both doors up, note that they were the only ones in the car so they had to go around to open the second door, and that one of them opened the trunk and hood to show off his cheesy dress up parts. My attitude has been stuff like that is only cool if the owner acts like it is no bid deal and doesn’t acknowledge it until someone asks them about it.

That story aside I have always preferred the look of suicide doors and shaved door handles to lambo doors, sleeker, simpler, and its a mod that has stood the test of time and always been cool.

Lambo doors are good as long as you have spinning rims, alteza tail lights, adhesive racing stripes, stick on fender ports (on Z3 fenders), tall aluminum double spoilers, and wide-mouth front bumpers.

I like vertical doors, I think it is a quite funtional and good styling modification. They open up so you don’t have to worry about banging your doors and chipping paint. Even though this seem to be a popular modification, out of the millions of cars there are on the road today how many actually have doors like this? I realyl do not think that this modification gets as much credit as it should. I do not think it will go out of style, and if it does I still plan to buy the hinges.

lambo doors look good if they’re done right. if they open a little then slide up it looks like crap. if they just open straight up… that’s a different story, but thats a lot of modding

I agree with gtwildfire. They are just another mod that belongs to certain cars where it seems fit to complete the look. personally i think it only looks good when there is no frame around the window (like the camaro) other wise it looks a little weird having a big square door tilt forward.

i know you guys like to make fun of donks and lambo doors but this is just another style. its much better than some hella flush i’ve seen (I’ve seen good ones too). how about an integra with 16’s… sure its flush but there is so much space between the front and back of the fender that it looks like someone put on shopping cart wheels

Verticals are for Coupes, unless maybe reverse verticals could be fabbed for a sedan’s rear doors… that would be badass.

I just think it looks really, really stupid when the front doors rise vertically and the back ones open normally.

but no… they’re not played out. Too rare and too much trouble to go through to get them installed and useable. It’s not like those uber-cheezy stick-on fake fender ports or other insult fodder…
