Skinny. Simple. Beautiful.

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

OK, so the back tire isn’t skinny, but the rest of the bike sure is. It was parked in the K&N booth, and while there wasn’t any literature on it, I’m assuming that the motor is probably around 883cc, like a Harley Sportster. It’s awesome how the builders put the gas tank under the seat, and the hyper-thin spokes on the wheels really emphasize the narrow profile of the bike. It looks like it weighs, like, ten pounds, and the massive rubber on the back will definitely give it some serious grip, so I imagine this machine will go like a scalded cat. More pics after the jump.

Super Cuda: Can I Keep It? Pretty Please?

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

While Jen, Rob, Ryan and I were at dinner last night, we started talking about which ride we would keep if we could take any ride at SEMA. And while I’d be happy to have a 599 or a ZR1 in my garage, I was completely blown away by Legendary Motor Company’s stunning Super Cuda. It’s heart is a twin turbo Viper engine that’s making 1500 horsepower, and it’s been built to handle like a proper supercar. I loved how clean the interior was, and the carbon fiber floors made me almost lose it.  More pics after the jump.

The TAC-V JAMMA V-22 ITV: Fighting for Military Sales

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

Since I’ve been assigned to the truck and off-road side of the market, I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t uncover this contender for future Military Sales, The TAC-V Joint All-Terrain Modular Mobility Asset, or JAMMA for short. This vehicle is targeted for special operations users around the world. According to the builders, it’s the only armor-ready, four occupant, high-performance off-road vehicle that’s capable of being transported inside the V-22 Osprey aircraft. See more below the jump.

Three Different Classics on the SEMA Floor

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

I always go crazy for some prime vintage collectible cars, and us much as modification is at a premium here at SEMA, there’s no shortage of restored-to-stock showpieces. Here are three more prime candidates for my garage when I hit the 10-million-dollar jackpot here at Vegas.

Oh My God, A Gremlin! At SEMA!

By Jen Dunnaway

Editor

No one ever brings AMC’s to SEMA–even the guy who runs Kennedy American AMC parts says he’s only ever seen one in his 14 consecutive SEMAs, and it was an AMX. So I just about lost it when I saw this ’73 Gremlin X sitting in the PRAUTOGY booth. The humble Grem is serving as a demo vehicle for PRAUTOGY’s new Halo application, a curious piece of gizmology that allows you to operate your vehicle’s electronics–including, in this case, power hood, rear hatch, and doors–from your iPhone. (Because, you know, somehow popping a hatch or pulling a hood release just isn’t cool anymore unless you can do it using a Mac product–kids these days!) In any case, apart from the electronics, air-bagged suspension, and suicide doors, the Gremlin was basically stock-looking, nice and refined. It was running a freshly-rebuilt 258 straight six and had even been repainted the same Golem-clay color it came with from the factory, along with the correct hockey stripes. Love it! See pics and video below the jump.

A/Gas of a Racer: The 1951 Henry J Gasser Drag Racer!

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

One thing I have noticed on my first SEMA trip was the diversified demographics of the event. There were older people riding around in their electric scooters mixed in with late teen and early 20s men, beautiful bodacious babes walking with homemakers of all ages, and even a contigent of late baby boomers. There is also a myriad of vehicles that date from all generations, including representatives from the early 50s. Like this Henry J A/Gas Drag Car. I think it’s rather cool, but what do you think?

I just met up with Topo over at the DUB booth. We checked out his silver Camaro, and then we walked over to the TIS booth to talk about the yellow Camaro he built for JW Motorsports, which is on the cover of the latest DUB Magazine. See all the pics and a video of Topo talking about the build after the jump!

Something Unexpected: A Lexus LX 570 SCORE Offroad Contender

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

I was in the Las Vegas Convention Center very early this morning wandering the halls to try and find undiscovered treasures hidden within the excesses of SEMA. Take a look at this one, a Lexus LX 570 competing in the SCORE Stock Full Class, piloted by Joe Bacal who is a Cancer Survivor sitting at the KC HiLiGHTS Booth. Read more after the jump!

Guess the JDM Minivan, Win Some CarDomain Swag

By Jim Brennan

UDMan

I have been having a real hard time trying to identify the JDM Minivan that has been displayed in the DUB Booth since Monday. I have asked the (real) booth professionals with no luck. I left a phone message with the Air Runner Systems distributor in Anaheim to no avail. I even threw out the question to other Bloggers here at SEMA. So now its time to throw out the question to our readers. Identify this wild custom JDM van, and win some CarDomain Swag. Read more after the Jump!
