Tree Transport

By Katherine Helmetag

One of the coolest parts of my house is the ridiculously high living room ceiling. And the best part of ridiculously high ceilings is ridiculously tall Christmas trees! This one is 14 feet tall, and we didn’t have to cut it down at all. It’s not the biggest one I’ve ever brought home on the wagon–that was 16 feet tall, and we did have to take about a foot off the bottom to fit it in the house. What’s the biggest tree you’ve ever hauled home? What did you haul it with?

It isn’t a tree, but my mother once strapped a fully assembled suit of armour statue, complete with sword and helmet, on the roof of her 1991 Cougar. This I don’t remember as I was just a wee lad back then, but I love hearing the story all the same. The messed up part? We had just bought brand new a Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser and I think we had a fully loaded Aerostar too. Not sure if they had it then or not.

Wow…that is awesome. We never have any problems getting ours home on top of an Odyssey, but twelve feet was our max.
