Start the Insanity: Totally Sick Widebody Exige

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

Wow. This Exige is sporting a supercharger and a turbo charger, and it’s apparently making 500HP. Oh, and it tips the scales at a scant 2150lbs with full fuel and driver. Just wow. There are pics after the jump, but you have to watch this video. The engine note makes Beethoven sound like a toddler banging on pots and pans. via VWVortex

Car Spotlight: 240SX Street Machine

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

While at Cars and Coffee the other day I was walking around enjoying the machinery when I heard the distinctive rumble of a V8 from the corner of my ear. Glancing over, I expected to see a fixed up Camaro or Mustang roll by, but to my surprise the sound was coming from an S13 240SX. Now a V8 S-chassis is nothing new, but I figured this car was certainly unique enough to warrant a quick spotlight. Continue reading a Speedhunters.

Out With The Audi, In With the Porsche

By Ryan Porter

IN-N-OUT Editor

What’s better than getting a new car? You get to learn all the rattles and noises of a new beast, you get to clean up and perfect work that’s not up to your standards, and best of all, you get to add another notch in your belt. I love getting to experience a new car—and what better car to experience than a Porsche 911?

I’ve only had the chance to drive it a call times so far, and the road conditions are horrible in the NorthWest, so unfortunately, I can’t exactly stretch its legs right now. But check out my ride page and mark my new ride as a favorite so you can stay up-to-date with my upcoming mods and photos. First things first, I need some new tires!

Fantasy 2009 Forester: Full STI Swap!

By Ryan Douthit

Drivingsports.com

Subaru tuner PIA recently upgraded their shop 2009 Forester. The end result is downright evil… with room enough for the kids. We believe this is only one of two STI-swapped new-gen Foresters in North America. The other one being the Subaru XTI show car.

One Too Many: Wald's Prius

By Ben Schaffer

The Real JDM

Sometimes I’m easily amused. I found this early rendering of the Wald “Black Bison Edition” Prius aero kit and I just had to comment on it. I know the Prius tuning is big business in Japan and judging from the looks of this design, I think Wald took it pretty seriously. The only problem is that I think they took it a little too seriously. It looks like they kept on adding more and more until there was simply one too many things going on with it. Totally Cool: ThermaHelm Helmet

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

Last year, I saw the first clip of Dainiese’s air-bag equipped motorcycle jacket in action, and I thought it looked pretty dope. Sure, it probably costs a lot to repack, but that’s probably not what you’re going to be thinking about when you’re sliding along the pavement. And while it looks great for protecting riders from broken bones and such, ThermaHelm’s helmet takes things one step further. In the event you crack your noggin during a fall, this helmet activates an internal dry-ice system to help stem any brain swelling. And even though I think the best the dude in this illustration can hope for is instant death, I think this concept is pretty cool, no pun intended. How about you?
