Tree Transport

By Katherine Helmetag

Atomicalex

One of the coolest parts of my house is the ridiculously high living room ceiling. And the best part of ridiculously high ceilings is ridiculously tall Christmas trees! This one is 14 feet tall, and we didn’t have to cut it down at all. It’s not the biggest one I’ve ever brought home on the wagon–that was 16 feet tall, and we did have to take about a foot off the bottom to fit it in the house. What’s the biggest tree you’ve ever hauled home? What did you haul it with?

Awesome 1964 Ford Econoline Truck on eBay

By Brian Lohnes

BangShift.com

We instantly fell in love with this truly neat 1964 Econoline truck for sale on eBay. It has the whole Gasser/wheelstander vibe happening, the wheels and tires are perfect, and the interior is freakin’ mint. Shockingly, it still retains the factory stock 170ci inline sixer.

We’re thinking that is a good thing because it’ll allow the lucky BangShifter who wins this auction to screw their own mill together, or maybe even work over the six popper with some forced induction. If it were us, a 514 would find its way in there sometime. We’d also be looking for a vendor to supply us enough lead to fill the inside of the tailgate. Now that would be a blast.

Hemmings Find of the Day – the Return of the Bugazzi

By Dan Strohl

Hemmings

Well, that didn’t take long. A couple months after our favorite Barris-touched 1972 Lincoln crossed the auction block at RM Hershey, the Bugazzi is now on Hemmings.com, offered for sale by Daniel Schmitt & Co. in St. Louis for about five times the amount it sold for at auction. FIA GT GT1 R35 GT-R

By Speedhunters

Car Culture At Large

There is no doubt Nismo wanted to concentrate on the legendary racing history of the GT-R at the Nismo Festival this year, with a very evident focus being placed on more modern machinery. The next year will be very exciting for Nissan, Nismo and the GT-R as the FIA GT GT1-class R35 that has been under development for the past year takes on a full season of the FIA GT Championship. Hummer vs. Wall

By John Coyle

Deputy Editor

OK, I’ve mocked the civilian, road-going versions of the Hummer plenty of times on this blog—I honestly think they’re more like codpieces than vehicles. And according to my Marine buddy who did two tours in Iraq, the military-spec ones are so cramped that unless you want to brain yourself while going over bumps, you have to wear a helmet. But I’ll admit I thought this clip was awesome. Damn.

180 mph Gallardo Test Drive Through Italy

By Michael Berenis

Tampa Sports Car Examiner

For many of us, it is a dream to drive a Lamborghini anywhere at anytime. To drive one at 180 mph through Maranello, Italy is just surreal. Captured on video for our viewing pleasure, watch as this fellow Lamborghini enthusiast pushes the test drive limit down the straights of Maranello at over 180 mph. Read more about the test drive at Tampa Sports Car Examiner.
