Heading to Detroit

By Rob Einaudi

Editor-in-Chief

On Sunday I’m flying out to Detroit to cover the North American International Auto Show with Katherine and Jim. We’ll be talking to folks at GM, Ford, Chrysler and VW, and of course reporting on everything cool we find at the show. I had a blast last year and I’m looking forward to going to the Designer Night party again this year. So is there anything in particular you guys want me to ask about or report on? My buddies at Moparts already loaded me up with a ton of questions about the Challenger. We’ve also set up meetings with a bunch of the Mustang designers and engineers, so definitely post your Mustang questions here. We’ll be posting plenty of pics in the CarDomain Events section, and a ton of video on StreetFire as well, so stay tuned…

Make sure you get some pics and specs on the CTS-V Coupe, the 5.0 Mustang, and see if Toyota/Suburu has the FT-86 and if Chevy brought anything new for the Camaro.

Hey Rob, ask GM if they could let me test drive the CTS-V Coupe for about a year. Thanx Bud!

Great questions retroman. I’ll be sure to ask about the future of the Boss and other special editions like the Mach 1 and Bullitt.

I’ve heard speculation that Ford is considering a factory backed Boss model, most likely a 302 because of the new 5.0 engine. Is this true and where will it be placed in relation to the GT500?? Also, if this is true, is Ford considering other Boss models as well, say a 351 or 429 for instance? My third and final question is does Ford also plan on using the twin turbo ecoboost V6 in the Mustang within the next 3 to 4 years?
