Fast and Furious Five so says Fireball
By Fireball Tim
Movie Car Design Master
Universal is on the move again with “FAST FIVE.” They’ve inked deals with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, director Justin Lin, screenwriter Chris Morgan (Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Wanted), and producer Neal Moritz to smack the pedal to the plastic and lay the cool car smackdown. This time, it will follow Dom and Brian as they are chased by legendary lawmen.
Fast & Furious was Universal’s highest grossing film of last year at $343 million, so doing another one makes sense. NICE!

I say this should be the last one to tie everything together such as what happens to Sean, Dom, Brian, and Mia. We know that Mia and Brian get Dom out of the bus but we don’t know what happens to them and we also know that Dom went to Tokyo and Sean became DK but exactly what happens next? It would be pretty sweet too if they had trucks possibly one with a diesel.

poor je3289 complaining about the unrealistic damage? thats in just about every movie about cars. And you cant blame that on us ricers, it all started with shows like Knight Rider and the Dukes of Hazzard. Number 1 was good, 2-3 were ok, 4 was blah in my eyes, and who knows maybe five will have some good action scenes.

I know F&F is cheesy, but I love it: they take into account all modification cultures and make it into a film which is at worst worth the money you pay to see it.

Feb 6, 2010 at 12:21 pm
oh come on!! give it a break already… there are already too many fast and the furious parts. I mean really if there werent enough ricers in the other movies now they are going to give you even more with even more exaggerated unrealistic stunts. such as driving under a rolling tank (F&F 4) or driving off a lifted bridge and driving away with only a few missing body panels and bumper(2F2F)..
At leas part one was a lot more realistic than the parts after it.

#5 should be good, worth seeing. this time they should have bikes that do the talking. tricked out cars and truck are sweet, nice to look at. not to mention fast as s**t if done right… people are moving on to bikes for a bigger for dangerous stunts and speeds close to 200mph. lets hope that the animation in this one is toned down a little. cause the 2nd and 4th ones had to much for me. this just a thought. the next one should take place in Germany cause of the autobahn. u know that people will love the top cars in the world reaching there top speeds. like the spyker spider, pagani zonda, and the first nissan skyline GT R35 sold in America. like i said just a thought.

Well said FordRulesAll!!! You can’t blame the F&F franchise for the idiots that screw it up for eveyone else! People are people at the end of the day. Some of them are just complete morons! Anyway, I’d definitely go and see another F&F movie! More races and more variety of cars! I’m into the asain imports as well but show off more of the new stuff!! The Lexus LFA is out now plus I know hands-down Universal could snatch up a Nissan GTR SpecV from Japan for the movie!! I’d love to see Brian (Paul Walker) have one last go with the GTR34 and then finish the movie in the GTR Spec-V with a specially modded TRUE Manual Shift tranny!! Not that Paddle Shift crap! Anyway I guess that’s just me. But yea, I’m down for another one!

The last one to me was ok. I wanted to see more racing and not all that dirt rally shit. All the cgi used when racing through the tunnels was bs and that desert racing just wasn’t all that exciting to me. Keep it on the streets.

everyone can hate on fast and the furious, but I still like it. there’s not that many auto movies to compare to. they should come out with a euro one haha

Personally I think The F&F movies are great, some better than others, but still really good films. I just hope there is slightly more racing, and a larger variety of cars in the next one. And retroman I would really have to disagree with you. Without the F&F Movies I really think that a lot of the car culture we have today wouldn’t be. Websites like CarDomain, and all the other little forums and what not wouldn’t be anywhere near as popular as they are. Also, movies are movies, you can’t simply blame the F&F movies for some idiots out there racing and thinking they’re all that and then some, if we blamed movies for everything then killings, kidnappings, gang violence, and a whole myriad of our socitey’s problems would all stem from movies. Anyway, I can’t for F&F 5.

ho hum, as if Universal hasn’t ruined the street scene enough… Thanks, to F&F, a whole new generation of hot shot Honda ricer toting teenagers are now hitting the streets with unrealistic expectations of what racing or even more scarily street racing is about and what its consequenses are. Speed doesn’t kill, but stupidity and cockiness sure do. For once, all I ask is more realism out of F&F. And realism doesn’t mean dull either. Steve McQueen shot Bullitt with enough excitement to last a lifetime without overdoing the special effects. If they were capable of doing it back then, then they are more capable of doing it now. I’m just tired of kids thinking that just because they got a couple of stickers, a wing, a turbo, and/or a bottle of NOS, they can outrun anything just shy of a Lamborghini with the added bonus of crash invincibility. That’s not true. Now, I believe that there are some quick four bangers out there, but if you got the power, don’t talk to me about it because you don’t have to. People will know if your packing power. So quit talking and show me!!!

i heard they were already talking about the 5th one after the 4th one came out in the theatre but i wasn’t sure if it would be final and now it is, some people didn’t like the 4th one but thats because they don’t open their minds any, i liked the 4th one a lot, more storyline but less racing it was still a very good movie, Fast and the Furious is kind of like the Saw movies, i’ve liked them all and i’ve bought them all on DVD once they came out on DVD, kind of makes you wonder how many they’ll make
